This is what is stupid about Pinecam today.

They still argue libs vs cons... and they want to see the libs defend Obama... As if there is a difference between us, we are citizens who are watching our rights be swept away. Bush and Obama are on the same page. We have not eliminated our Constitution yet, so we still have freedom. We just don't exercise it, or stand up for it.

They just argue about who took away more.. but even that is stiffed by ConiferMtMan calling talk of Bush as off topic.. no its not.. the topic is freedom not presidents elected by docile Americans. I got kicked off Pinecam because there is so much a feeling of "us and them" among the white people of this community I live in. I could say red neck, hick, Cowboy or Christian.. and offend some of them. I can say white and offend all of them. They are all white and that is the most plain common description I can find of the people in my town. I am Muslim and I here talk about Muslims all the time.. but I do not find that offensive. I find the lies and ignorance offensive. And I find being segregated out of Pinecam offensive too. On to white cam land.

The argument should be between the serfs and the elite.. that is the real division line among people in America. This dem rep is all for show... to keep us arguing with each other instead of figuring out what law is going to get passed next... these laws are not being passed on a partisan level... The laws that are against our Constitution are passed by the full house.

They want to ask what new freedom has our gov brought to us.. now I would think that would lead to reflection of freedoms lost but no... it is a debate of who is worse George or Barrak and who is stupider liberals or conservatives.

"Obama has not removed the troops from Iraq, in fact he is following BUSH'S timeline. Obama has put MORE troops into Afghanistan. Gitmo is still open. For a matter of fact, not much has really changed on the military front and the "war on terrorism" except a few name changes and less coverage by the MSM.

Yet, I don't see any sign of Code Pink, Doctors Without Borders, Human Rights Watch, MoveOn.Org, Juan Cole etal?

For a matter of fact, the last article I can find from CNN on getting out of Iraq is dated Jan. 21st, 2009, right after swearing in Obama and the headline totally tiptoes around the issue...

This is a perfect example...I had a ad posted in wanted to buy looking for mens hand me downs a while back....Well I won't be needing any clothes for a long time because Ray brought over a whole truck load of jeans and shirts shoes boots ect.....most of it all new too and just gave it all to me !

I have been on both ends of the giving and receiving here in PCamland and I never cease to be amazed at how giving this mountain community is. I am left in awe at how much appreciation is voiced when something that seems small and insignificant is given to someone that needs it most. I wish that the whole world would have the 'gift' that our mountain community has!

I started in earnest on Pinecam the day the war in Iraq started. It was the day of the biggest blizzard I had ever seen. The snow was over my head. There was nothing else to do. Then I learned how many people took for granted.. and still do.. the misconceptions being spread, mostly by the churches... about 'the evils of Islam'. Their favorite experts on this were any former muslim. Pinecam swallowed whole the line, "they hate us for our freedoms." Marines used to argue with me like I was a foreigner and talk tough... I don't think they were real marines and I don't think any of the armchair muscle ever saw the gulf, but they had their implanted opinions... and said "semper fi" with the same smugness as "hummph". Marines were showing signs of superiority issues,delusions of grandeur was the confidence level.. They viewed any call of the battle as hate for questioning... and they had zero aptitude.

The zero brain will fail to appreciate who Osama really is. Osama is your military cousin in the world who signed on to do our bidding. It is appropriate to now call us the devil because to join forces with usa has all the same components.

As an American, I am sad we destroyed a fine culture for our own desires.

I would not say this war on terror has been a failure.. It is achieving everything a devil of satan could want.. war petulance, disease, occupation, displacement and refugees, creating suffering desperation and destitution,.

and who is riding around with the guns? Blackwater troops making tons of money, shooting people like they was squirrels.... and establishing a booty call operation, the one thing they forgot to establish in the Gulf war was a source of bootie. STUDY TOS, Guidelines and More!

This is a brief statement from the Terms of Service of Pinecam, otherwise known as “TOS”:

TOS: You agree not to post any abusive, obscene,
vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented
or any other material that may violate any applicable laws or
deemed to be disruptive to the general membership of the forums.

Study TOS Modifications: Effective 5/5/09
Baiting and or name calling and derogatory comments will no longer be tolerated in the Study. All violations will result in the following and swift actions.

1. Thread will be locked and not re-opened at any sign of baiting or abusive behavior towards others.
2. Poster found in violation of the TOS will be held to a 3 strikes rule.
I. First Violation: Poster will be given a 24 hour time out from the study and thread will be locked.
II. Second Violation: Poster will be given a 1 week time out from the study and the thread will be locked.
III. Third Violation: Poster will be banned from the study, any violations posted outside of the study after the study ban will result in a permanent ban from Pinecam.
3. By posting in the study you agree to the TOS and understand that no warnings will be issued for violations against the TOS in the Study.

The Study is a place for educated and healthy discussion of politics, science, local and world wide current events and more. This is NOT a place for rude, disrespectful behavior towards your fellow neighbors.

Pinecam is a community forum for neighbors current and former to connect and stay informed on local events and happenings. While debate and discussion is encouraged in the study, all threads must remain civil and constructive otherwise they will be locked for violation of the Study TOS.

Posting limit on new threads and links
Posters in the Study are limited to starting no more then 2 new threads per day. Posting a link, for the sake of posting the link without substantive follow-up discussion will result in the link and post being removed. Violations of this are subject to the above TOS Modifications for the study.

For clarity sake, here are dictionary.com explanations of the terms above:

Abusive: using, containing, or characterized by harshly or coarsely insulting language: an abusive author; abusive remarks.

Obscene: offensive to morality or decency; indecent; depraved: obscene language.

Vulgar: indecent; obscene; lewd.

Slanderous: defamation, calumny, rumors full of slander, a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report. There should be no altering of quotes from other posters in order to warp or change meaning.

Hateful: unpleasant; dislikable; distasteful: full of or expressing hate; malignant; malevolent

Threatening: tending or intended to menace

Sexually-oriented: Speaks for itself. Do not slam women or men because of their gender.

OR any other material that may be disruptive to the general membership of the forums:
Meaning any porn type photos, racist remarks, etc.

Members may not take another members name and change it within a post in order to be insulting – such as using the word “moron” and others.

Although there are other situations that may warrant a TOS violation, the ones listed above are a fairly comprehensive outline of TOS.

These guidelines are not mean’t to limit your discussions, but to keep the Study a place where all viewpoints are welcome.

Abusive names:

According to Pinecam TOS: "anything that is deemed to be disruptive to the general membership" is against TOS. So, posters changing the names of others is deemed to be disruptive to the general membership.

For instance: If you change the name of a Pinecam member to a derogative name it is disruptive to that person and also hateful. It will not be allowed.

By changing the name of a candidate, or others, you are being hateful to the "other side" who likes this person. Again, the moderators deem it disruptive to the general membership at Pinecam.

So, to be fair to both sides, we will no longer let this go on. Any post seen with derogative changed names will be edited with no notice or message in the posts.

Since this goes on so often, we felt we should let you know in this post.

The Moderators reserve the right to remove any post or thread if we deem it to be disruptive to the Study."
